A comparative analysis of the works of Michelangelo and Auguste Rodin, accompanying the exhibition catalogue Corps vivants.
The authors compare the Italian Renaissance with the beginnings of the modern era in order to highlight both artistic legacies and stylistic innovations. Through eight themes — including techniques, materials, and drawings — they draw parallels between around forty works.
Corps vivants exhibition from 15 April to 20 July 2026. Exhibition organised by the Louvre Museum with the exceptional participation of the Rodin Museum.
